    We believe we are the UK’s only winter maintenance specialist that can truthfully say we have never run out of salt. With strong supplier relationships, the ability to haul our own salt, and stockyards with 20,000 tonnes of BS 3247 salt in reserve, we will always have spare capacity.

    Our in-house weather experts are trained to Met Office gold quality mark standard, enabling them to accurately interpret the most trusted, reliable and current Met Office forecast data supplied in the UK, throughout the day.

    We combine our proven monitoring expertise with unrivalled knowledge of localised climates and geographical variances, to ensure our gritting teams hit the road exactly when the time is right.

    Because we have the most comprehensive fleet of gritting vehicles, salt spreaders and snow clearance equipment in the country, of course we want to protect them. But this isn’t the main reason for our long-standing investment in GPRS tracking.

    The system allows us to document and evidence every single site we visit, providing us with a comprehensive audit trail of all our activity for the last five years. The live tracking information also feeds into our advanced job management system, enabling us to provide an unbroken, nationwide service with utmost client transparency.

    Our fleet

    Our vehicles are owned by us and proactively maintained by our in-house team of mechanical engineers.

    We have a variety of lorry-mounted gritters, snow ploughs and JCBs, through to much smaller equipment and even hand operated salt spreaders. Collectively, this gives us the most extensive and varied winter maintenance fleet in any privately-owned UK company. So, whether we’re covering vast acres or navigating our way around incredibly restrictive car parks and courtyards, we’ll arrive with the best-fit technology for the job at hand.

    In-keeping with our ISO14001 accreditation, our new vehicles are also compliant with Euro 6 emission standards, to minimise the environmental impact of our operations.

    Continuously evolving IT systems

    We were one of the industry’s first adopters of GPRS vehicle tracking over 15 years ago, and continue to invest in ever-more intuitive tracking technology today, in order to monitor our service, plan jobs as efficiently as possible, evidence the completion of these jobs and uphold the safety of our nationwide teams.

    Having invested in the development of a bespoke IT system, we are also able to provide customers with real time information on the progress of their jobs, as well as historical data.

    But that’s not all. We keep a constant eye on technological innovations and update our systems whenever we think we can improve our approach to customer service.
