2018- A Spring Recap
5th June 2018
After working our woolly socks off over the last winter season we have continued to have a busy start to 2018. We may grit nationally during the winter season, but our parent company JW Crowther’s also offers plant hire, haulage and road sweepers all year round.
After beating the ‘Beast from the East’ we’ve had a bit of warmer weather to catch up and now we’re back on track preparing for next winter! All our vehicles are currently making their way two by two (hoorah, hoorah) into our workshop to have all their preventative maintenance work carried out by our in-house technicians. They’ll then be cleaned and stored until next season- all but Rocking Robin that is.
Rocking Robin is our newest vehicle and will be making his way down to the big smokes of London to be displayed at the Facilities Show held at the ExCel Centre. Some of our Gritting team will be at stand Q750 to answer all your winter related questions as well as demonstrating our job management system used by our drivers each night.
We also added a new member to our gritting gang; Chris was thrown in the deep end (quite literally) as our new Assistant Depot Manager- just in time for the ‘Beast from the East’! There has also been a couple of additions to the Crowther team; welcome to Iwona in accounts and also to Tim who is the new Manager for the sweeper and cleansing division.
Whilst our gritting vehicles are being pampered; the full Crowther fleet of 8-wheel tippers have been out and about across Yorkshire making the most of the (un-characteristic) British weather. The road sweepers and tankers have also been around town helping customers with their spring cleaning; have you seen them?
